Abstract
Based on the material of I.A. Bunin's poems of the 1900s ("Hristya", "From the Window", "Scarecrow", "Wasteland", etc.), the article examines the specifics of the language of poetry, determines the flavor of the South Russian dialect. The validity of the scientific commentary of Bunin's poems in the unity of lexical, literary, historiosophical and biographical components is emphasized.
