Abstract

The article describes the main similarities and distinctive features of proper names of fairy tale heroes found in Slavic folklore and touching upon semantic (etymological) and orthographic aspects. The author investigates the role of fairy tales in the process of child rearing, focuses on the comparative analysis of heroes in East, West and South Slavic fairy tales and considers the differences between the world pictures of Slavic peoples. The article also examines different cultural contexts and how they shape the unique traits of heroes that influence children's perception and upbringing. The comparative analysis shows that despite cultural differences, national fairy tales play an important role in the formation of ethical and social skills in children, and therefore it is necessary to preserve and study them as a cultural heritage that contributes to the spiritual development and formation of the child's personality.
