The article deals with moral values expressed in Russian, Belarusian, Polish, Serbian and Bulgarian proverbs. The author explores key qualities such as diligence, honesty, friendship and patience, revealing their importance in the education of moral guidelines and the formation of social harmony. A detailed comparative analysis of proverbs identifies similarities and differences in approaches to conveying moral principles through folk wisdom in Slavic languages. Proverbs are considered as a means of transmitting traditions, cultural identity and collective experience in the aspect of each nation's worldview. Special attention is paid to the symbolism and context of proverbs, as well as their role in the preservation and transmission of historical memory. The author emphasises the universality of moral values, their unchanging relevance, as well as the richness and diversity of the cultural heritage of Slavic peoples.
